FAQs
Why Should I Collaborate With PRETTY BAD?
My style and point of view show up in everything I create. My work is an extension of my interests, values, influences, and the things I genuinely think are cool. If those things resonate with you, chances are we’ll make something unique together. And if you like supporting an independent female Indigenous artist, you’re definitely in the right place.
How Much Do You Charge Per Project?
Pricing depends on the scope, timeline, and complexity of the project. I generally price projects around a minimum rate of $45/hour based on the anticipated workload.
That said, I care about building a creative community and am open to flexible rates for friends, emerging artists, and new collaborators when the project feels like a good fit.
What Are Your Qualifications?
I’m a lifelong artist with formal training in graphic design and animation through Otis College of Art and Design, where I’ve continued developing my practice since 2024. My coursework has included graphic design, typography, color theory, 2D design, drawing & composition, and storyboarding, building on both the technical and conceptual sides of my work.
My experience spans branding, web design, illustration, motion, and digital design for startups, collectives, independent artists, event producers, and other creative collaborators.
What Kind of Projects Do You Take On?
The more eccentric, the better. Merch, posters, and 2D animation are all among my favorite projects. I’m especially interested in opportunities involving music, fashion, events, entertainment, and other creative communities.
Will You Make Something That Doesn't Look Like Your Portfolio?
Yes! I’m always interested in experimenting and adapting my approach to the project and vision. That being said, you’re hiring me for my perspective too. If you like the personality, energy, and visual thinking you see throughout my work, we’ll probably be a good match.
Do You Use AI in Your Creative Process?
I never use generative AI to create my artwork or designs. For me, art is fundamentally a human creative experience.
However, I will use AI-powered tools when they support the production process rather than replace the creative one. That might mean using Photoshop’s AI-assisted tools to remove an unwanted object from a photo or Premiere Pro’s AI-powered tracking tools to follow a moving object. The ideas, creative direction, and final decisions remain my own.
If a client prefers that no AI-powered tools be used during their project, I completely understand and am happy to accommodate that request.
